It's difficult for horses to find a "forever home",
especially a rescue horse.

Although the horses are very well cared for at rescue facilities,
the ultimate goal is to find each and every horse a new home.
Some of these horses have been abandoned or mistreated and
simply need to be rehabilitated in order to become adoptable.

Doug's goal is to foster rescue horses and use natural training
to rehabilitate them.

In order to achieve this goal, he has developed a sponsorship
program for these horses, which includes five levels of
increasing "human" involvement with the horse. Not only does
this help pay for the horse's care while under Doug's
mentorship, it provides the added benefit of enabling people
who may not be able to afford a horse right now or who want to
learn more about horses become involved with a horse at a
reasonable rate. This additional care and attention the horse
receives from the Program will ultimately, and most importantly,
help the horse. And, hopefully, for the horse, it will result in
moving to a forever home with someone they respect and trust
and who respects, trust, and loves them back.
