| A LETTER FROM A WORKING EQUESTRIAN STUDENT Dear Krissie & Danny, Thank you so much for helping to make this summer the most amazing few months of my life so far. The two of you welcomed me into your 'barn family'. You are both so passionate in what you do and it has made it that much more rewarding to work with you and learn from you. After this summer, I feel like I have gained so much knowledge with working with horses that will help me in my future life endeavors. Thank you for teaching me how to 'cowgirl up'. I clearly learned that from the best (or 'cowboy up Danny). I feel like I have gained a great deal of confidence on the trails, learned to 'Dance' with Effort, and learned to hang on for the ride going through the poles. Thank you so much for bringing Lily into my life. I am sad to be leaving, but so grateful that I have new friends and a beautiful place to come back to. Mostly thank you for being you. Love, JEN (New York) |
| CHOOSING YOUR INSTRUCTOR We offer a team of terrific instructors: each with many years of experience. For the North Shore area, they are truly top notch! They teach many riding disciplines - combined training. Although each instructor has extensive experience in teaching ALL disciplines, Anya & Dianne's passion leans towards dressage and Rebecca's passion leans toward jumping and eventing. Each instructor is so talented that we find it hard to pick which one to use ourselves! One way would be by selecting one that can meet your schedule and teaches the discipline you prefer. SANDY BAY STABLES' SUMMER HORSE PROGRAM Our week long rewarding and INTENSIVE horseback riding program will give your child a firm foundation in the principles of riding and horse care. Unlike summer camp offering other activities, we do not, our whole focus is horses! Our program is open to children of all riding levels from the ages of 8-14. All classes are taught with a high staff to student ratio (1:2), unlike any other summer program around!! Children will be taught in small groups of four children (and at times no more than 6 children) by our professional, licensed adult instructors and also experienced assistants. Sandy Bay Stables is a family run barn with a comfortable atmosphere emphasizing good horsemanship, safety, and fun! |

"Sandy Bay Stables A Local Treasure!" "I have been taking lessons at Sandy Bay Stables for more than a year. Everyone is friendly, supportive and interested in being helpful. The horses are wonderful and the instructors are top quality. But what makes the place special is the involvement of the owners, Krissie and Danny, in everything that goes on at the farm. They really care about the horses and the farm community they are creating. This is a special treasure in Rockport for kids of all ages!" Leslie Kagan, Rockport |
