| "ALL ABOUT HORSES PROGRAM" For? Kids ages 7 and up When? Fridays 3:30 - 5:30 PM Dates? Every Friday Starts the 1st of each month! What to bring? After school snacks & drinks What to wear? Appropriate OUTDOOR clothing, layers, gloves, and boots. Fee? $120 to be paid monthly on the first of month for 4 weeks - once week. Class is limited. First come, first reserved! This 4 week INTENSIVE horse program will give your child a firm foundation in the principles of horse care with some riding experience! Your child will learn horse-safety, breeds, colors, grooming, haltering, safety knots, how to bridle, bridle assembly, different tack used for riding, feeding, stabling, how to mount and will have a mini horseback riding lesson(s) during the last sessions. |

Effort and Dan's year end regional results also earned: Reserve Champion for Open Stakes Races (pole bending), Reserve Champion for Open Figure 8 Races, and they ranked 4th in Open Stumps (Barrel racing), 3rd in Open Keyhole Races. In the year end regional circuit for Non Pro they ranked: Reserve Champion for Non Pro Figure 8 Stakes Races, Reserve Champion in Non Pro Keyhole Races, and took 3rd in Non Pro Stakes Races, and 4th in Non Pro Stumps (barrel racing). The Parelli natural horsemanship method is a holistic approach to training based on developing a natural relationship with your horse through understanding his/her nature and understanding the world from the horse's point of view. Wendy Prendergast will demonstrate the Seven Parelli Games. Playing the Seven Parelli Games with your horse helps you to gain your horse's respect. Horses are natural followers. The Seven Games help you to become your horse's leader. She will also demonstrate Zone-Ology - The horse's body and his immediate environment is divided into 5 Zones (plus the delicate Zone) which assists in applying the techniques in the right position to achieve the desired results. And Wendy will also explain Horsenalities and prey/predator relationships. It was a first time experience for some of the girls to ride a horse while swimming ~ So much fun! |

Students will learn about caring for horses from feeding, grain, hay, measurements, medicines, supplements, herd dynamics, horse language, lunging, checking for and caring for cuts, blanketing, grooming, haltering, leading, stabling, and much more!
