| A For Effort & Dan Burnham Achieved Reserve Champion HIGH POINT performance horse with WMAA, 2006 year end, regional circuit. Effort and Dan's year end regional results also earned: Reserve Champion for Open Stakes Races (pole bending), Reserve Champion for Open Figure 8 Races, and they ranked 4th in Open Stumps (Barrel racing), 3rd in Open Keyhole Races. In the year end regional circuit for Non Pro they ranked: Reserve Champion for Non Pro Figure 8 Stakes Races, Reserve Champion in Non Pro Keyhole Races, and took 3rd in Non Pro Stakes Races, and 4th in Non Pro Stumps (barrel racing). Hot Zippin Chip "Boots" and Krissie Burnham Achieved CHAMPION JR. WESTERN PLEASURE HORSE for the 2006 year end regional circuit. | The Burnham's celebrate in Jackson, MS at NATIONALS in June with their show winnings! Thanks to Champulsions, aka Quervo, a 3yr. old Appaloosa gelding. They won a wool and leather National Champion jacket, a trophy (shown), a National Champion Ribbon (shown), and a check for $3,712.00 (shown) plus another National ribbon and check for $765 in another futurity class! Champulsions now has a lifetime total earnings as a 3 year old of $30,977.00! |

| TRAIL RIDE/SUMMER SWIMMING WITH HORSES & PONIES! August 24, 2009 Farm girls go on trail ride to swim with horses & ponies: Courtney (and Skye), Sarah (and Roamn' Spirit),Tessa (and Chip), & Valentina (and Cisco) rode to the nearby pond and went for a dip ON HORSE BACK! It was a first time experience for some of the girls to ride a horse while swimming ~ So much fun! |
| STUDENT HORSE CARE GROUP FOR? FREE for Leasing and/or 2x/week Students of Sandy Bay Stables, ages 11 and up. WHAT? Learning horse care, apprenticeship, hands on learning experience. Students will learn about caring for horses from feeding, grain, hay, measurements, medicines, supplements, herd dynamics, horse language, lunging, checking for and caring for cuts, blanketing, grooming, haltering, leading, stabling, and much more! WHEN? Starting NOVEMBER, 2010, REGISTRATION REQUIRED Either Tuesday and Thursdays, after school from 4 - 5:30/6 PM Cost? F R E E for leasing and biweekly lesson students! As a benefit to our loyal, hard working, leasing students, Sandy Bay Stables gives back in return and offers this hands on, educational program for FREE! Students who wish to participate, and who are not leasing, may pay just $10 per hour and a half session. PROGRAM RUNS NOVEMBER - SPRING GRADUATION Certificates awarded to graduates! * Minimum of 2 students to run group and no more than 5 per group. * Non SBS students could join this group for $30 each session with a 6 month commitment of at least one day per week, to be prepaid each month. REQUIREMENT: All must have some horse experience, such as horse lessons in the past because this group is not suited for total beginner/novices and girl's must make Commitment in ATTENDANCE. HORSE SHOW "BOOT" CAMP/CLINIC for all ages. TWO INTENSE DAYS! May 29 & 30 and June 12 & 13 with clinician: Melissa Consalvo, August 14 & 15 with clinicians: Melissa Consalvo and additional Guest Clinician, Hannah Lavin! Day One, 1-5 PM: Includes practice rides/lessons, horse show prep from clipping, braiding, bathing, mane pulling, etc. Day Two, 8-5 PM: Includes Horse Strategy Riding Lesson, Classroom lectures - Equine first aid, tack & turnout, braiding, stable management, judging, hunter/jumper/equitation what's the difference? Other disciplines, Tack room do's and don'ts, USEF rules and so MUCH MUCH MORE! Each Weekend Series will be different and will expand from the previous weekend.
